Emily Nicol is an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander media professional based in Sydney. Working in a diverse range of positions within media, Emily produced and presented ‘Making Tracks’, the drive time show on Sydney’s Koori Radio, is a digital producer with NITV, and a freelance journalist with articles featured in such publications as The Guardian, SBS Life, Time Out.

She is currently the Members Services Officer with the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia having also worked as an English language teacher and on a news program with Sydney’s Community Television station TVS

Giladesi Namokoyi has many years’ experience as a producer and presenter for the SBS Radio Sydney program, Alchemy. She is also an active contributor to the music community in her hip-hop group, KillaQueenz. Keep an ear out for her voice on many of the CMTO’s online E-learning resources.

Giordana Caputo is an experienced journalist and broadcaster with more than a decade of experience in all facets of the sector, from producing and presenting programs, to managing staff and facilitating training. Giordana is the CMTO CEO and volunteers at 2RRR in Sydney.

Ian Crouch

Ian Crouch has been involved in broadcasting for 20 years in both Community and Commercial Radio. He started reading news for 2CCR-FM at Baulkham Hills in Sydney in 1993 and served on the station’s Board of Management and as Station Manager until early 1996. Ian studied at AFTRS (The Australian Film Television and Radio School) and went on to hold a variety of roles at stations around New South Wales including i98FM, Wollongong, 2DU/ZOO-FM Dubbo, 2NM/Power-FM, 2NM and NEW-FM, Newcastle. Ian now manages around 25 Communications degree students from the University of Newcastle at 2NUR-FM

Jason Velleley is an accomplished community broadcaster, with over 20 years of experience in community radio. He produces the nationally syndicated CRN program Aussie Music Weekly, and continues to lend his skills as a Training Coordinator to 2HHH FM.  Jason was also a presenter on FBI radio from 1998 to 2005 and he currently works as a Head Trainer for CMTO.

Kevin Klehr has worked across media, in radio, television and on-line, for both the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and voluntarily in community media. From research, production and editing roles with Radio National documentaries to independent TV productions, he brings much hands-on experience to his role as a trainer.

Lex Marinos  is an actor, director, writer and teacher with a wealth of experience in the arts/entertainment industry. In more than three decades of involvement in the radio sector, he has worked as a producer and presenter on many stations, including triplejay and NewsRadio. Lex currently appears regularly on ABC Local Radio 702.

Peter Diskon

Peter Diskon has worked in commercial radio and community radio for about 35 years in a number of capacities including program director. He also managed CHY-FM in Coffs Harbour for three years undertaking staff training in all aspects of on air presentation and sponsorship campaigns.

Seth Jordan

Seth Jordan is a Bellingen NSW-based music journalist, festival consultant and radio broadcaster. He is the Australasian/Pacific correspondent for the UK-based World music magazine 'Songlines'​ and regularly contributes features/reviews to Australia’s roots magazine 'Rhythms'​. As Content Services Manager for the CBAA, Seth oversaw the national programming of the Community Radio Network (CRN), which distributes over 100 of the very best Australian Community radio programs from across the country to 150 participating stations each week
