“Audio ability is one of the best courses I have attended. The online course taught me a lot about planning a show, using a run sheet and interviewing. I was able to put these new skills into practice during the weekly studio sessions.”- Annette (Audio Ability Participant)

“I'm proud to have completed Audio Ability, it's helped me share my lived experience and develop my interviewing skills to highlight important disability issues. I really enjoyed learning collaboratively alongside other passionate participants. The course material was really engaging, class was something I looked forward to each week. Now I'm looking forward to a future in community radio!” - Annabelle (Audio Ability Participant)

The Audio Ability Accessible Training and Mentorship program is now open.

The program includes:

The program is also being offered in languages other than English, so if you prefer to learn or broadcast in your language, we encourage you to to put in an expression of interest.

Spaces in this program are supported by the ILC program through the Department of Social Services and there are no fees to participate.

“The Audio Ability course has been a wonderful program and one which I have thoroughly enjoyed!  It gave me a unique opportunity to be on air and use my voice to help others.” - Thomas (Audio Ability Participant)

“I had no experience or prior training in anything to do with media. This is a whole new world for me. Now I have done work at my local community radio station. My mentor has been absolutely amazing to work with, has been very knowledgeable, and had some great advice.” - Steven (Audio Ability Participant)
