Bernard Namok Jr

Bernard Namok Jnr first stepped inside a radio studio in 2001 and hasn’t left the industry since. Originally from Thursday Island, he is now a Senior Broadcaster and Trainer for the Top End Aboriginal Bush Broadcasting Association. Going on 10 years, he is still amazed by the landscape and amazing places he gets to go for broadcast festivals in 29 remote communities, and the broadcasters he trains still inspire him.

His documentary Zenadth Kes – Silent Star of the Strait is about a mother’s struggle raising her kids and about an appropriate recognition for the designer of the Torres Strait Flag.
