The CMTO has teamed up with The NonProfit Alliance for an exciting new series of leadership learning opportunities. Experts in leadership development for the social purpose sector, The NonProfit Alliance is committed to helping organisations invest in the capabilities of their leaders.
As station managers, board and committee members, we’re often too busy fighting fires to reflect on what we do well, stuck in the cycle of daily dramas of community broadcasting, volunteer coordination, and organisational development.
Re-energise after a tough year with our new strengths-based personal and professional development series of webinars, workshops, and individual consultation.
This exclusive series helps you to recognise your leadership strengths and maximise the strengths of your team.
The benefits of a strengths-based approach include lower stress, increased engagement & flow, energy & mindfulness, resilience, wellbeing, and goal attainment. When individuals focus on using their strengths, research shows that they are six times more likely to be engaged. And when people and teams are engaged, great things happen. People enjoy their role, achieve their goals, and know that their contribution is valued, in their team and their organisation.
Register for customised free webinars on the first Wednesday of the month, with topics including:
- Harnessing strengths for optimal leadership
- Developing a growth mindset
- Developing brain-friendly habits for better resilience
- Harnessing values to drive your purpose
- Thriving through change
- Coaching for better relationships
- Creating a psychologically safe space for you and your team
- Leading with emotional intelligence
- The upside of stress
Harnessing Strengths for Optimal Leadership
Register for the first webinar 4-5.30pm (AEST) Wednesday 5 May 2021.
Then stay tuned on how to apply for a free individual Strengths Assessment and debrief consultation, plus attendance at our interactive Strengths Workshop in Sydney on Friday 18 June.
Limited places will be available for current and aspiring trainers, station managers, board and committee members. You’ll need to tell us how you plan to use the skills in your organisation, be able to commit approximately 2 hours to the consultation process, and travel to Sydney for the workshop. Priority will be given to small and regional stations and a $500 travel bursary provided to help with costs.
Personal Strengths Assessment & Consultation
Successful applicants will complete the online strengths assessment to generate a personal Strengths Profile Report.
The personal emotional intelligence Strengths Profile provides a positive platform for professional development. Delivered by NPA Practitioners who have been accredited by the Langley Group – Australia’s experts in positive psychology, emotional intelligence and neuroscience.
Your personal report will contain information to help understand your own leadership strengths and how to use strengths to bring your team together, achieve results and create a positive strengths language for daily use. A one-hour personal consultation with an NPA expert will guide you through your profile and help you understand how to use it to your advantage.
