The Community Media Training Organisation (RTO ID 91800) is now taking enrolments for its annual CUA31015 Certificate III in Screen and Media course.
The course is perfect for workers and volunteers in community radio who want to refine their skills, pick up some new ones and study with like minded people.
The course covers everything from planning for and presenting a radio program, scriptwriting, interviewing, audio editing, as well as all of the important things you need to know about working in the creative arts industry.
Places in the course are strictly limited, with sessions held each week in Sydney commencing in mid April.
Training subsidies are available for eligible applicants with support from the NSW Government.

What is Smart and Skilled?
Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system.
From 1 January 2015, Smart and Skilled provides eligible students with an entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III or government funding for higher-level courses (Certificate IV and above) in targeted priority areas.

Am I eligible for courses offered through Smart and Skilled?
To enrol for Smart and Skilled training you need to meet certain conditions.
- 15 years old or over?
- no longer at school?
- living or working in NSW?
- an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen?
If you answered ‘Yes’ to all four questions, then you’re eligible to enrol in a government-subsidised course with an approved Smart and Skilled training provider.
