The Raspberry Pi is a tiny, really cheap, REAL computer that can do so many jobs at your station. Plug in one or two monitors or TVs, a USB keyboard and mouse, load the free full-function operating system, and off you go!  It was designed to teach computing, but it’s so powerful that people of all ages can explore Information Technology, do real office work, or learn how to program (in many languages including Scratch and Python). It’s ideal for tech projects around the station: run databases, control your gear, monitor the transmitter, be your network hub, or replace Windows in the studio.  Anyone can get a Pi to work!
Learn how this funky little computer can be used at your station on 8 December 2020 when we bring you December’s Technorama Tuesday!
