The CBF recently announced the latest round of training grants. Accredited Training was prioritised in this round and a number of Certificate III and Certificate II courses will go ahead at stations around Australia.  Unfortunately, the CMTO was unsuccessful in receiving any of its funding for pathways courses in this round.

The CBF has informed us that applications were submitted this round totalling $519,332- and that only 55 percent of applications were successful. This is definitely a new development for the National Training Project and is largely a result of the CMTO promoting training around the sector. It does, however, present us with a dilemma about how we should proceed with future funding rounds and the CMTO’s call for expressions of interest.
