This course provides an introduction to the world of Media Law and is paired with an extensive look of Workplace Health and Safety.

This course covers:

• Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Laws and Information Sources
• Station Policies and Procedures
• Hazard Inspections
• Bullying
• Introduction into Media Law
• Broadcast Services Act
• Codes of Practice
• Legal Issue examples: breaches, sponsorship, defamation, privacy, racial vilification
• Handling complaints
