Would you like to learn about recording and documenting community history?
CMTO is offering a two day interactive workshop for radio broadcasters, producers, workers and volunteers on recording and documenting community history.
AHCILM404 Record and Document Community History is a nationally accredited unit of competency. The unit is designed for anyone looking to develop or sharpen their skills and knowledge around the development of an oral history project and how to create a podcast.
Learners will explore and practice planning, preparing and conducting an interview with a community member and develop an understanding of the cultural protocols and ethical considerations associated with documenting community histories.

Presenter: Dr Elaine Rabbitt
Elaine is a CMTO trainer. She is a social historian with a PhD in Oral History. Elaine is the Training Manager at Goolarri Media Enterprises.
Sydney Workshops:
When: Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th April 2023 from 10am to 4pm. (you must be available for BOTH days to participate in the workshop)

Canberra Workshops:
When: Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th April 2023 from 10am to 4pm. (you must be available for BOTH days to participate in the workshop)

Fees:
There are no fees as this course is funded by the Community Broadcasting Foundation. This includes enrolment fees, resources, participant handbook, and assessment.
