CMTO’s suite of self-paced courses are a great way to kick-start or refresh your community radio skills.

Our courses contain all the essential knowledge for you or your volunteers to get broadcast-ready.

They are designed as a convenient way to induct new volunteers and staff at your station, covering all the basics:

  • Introduction to Media Law for Broadcasters
  • Introduction to Workplace Health & Safety

Plus, we’ve just introduced a new course focused on fundamental radio skills such as scripting, presentation, and using a panel:

  • Introduction to Making Great Radio

These courses have also just been through our annual review and update, to ensure the highest quality of training.

Refresher courses

For those looking to quickly update skills in subjects like Media Law or Workplace Health and Safety without retaking an entire course, we’ve specifically designed refresher courses

These shorter versions of courses are perfect for a station that wants to ensure that volunteer skills are current.

These case-study based courses are updated annually and are a great way to keep your knowledge up-to-date in the important areas of Media Law and WHS.
